McLaren has unveiled the 2024 750S coupe and 750S Spider convertible that will replace the 720S in its lineup. The automaker says the 750S is the lightest and most powerful series-production model it’s produced.

New Styling Provides More Downforce

The 750S retains some of the exterior styling that defined its predecessor, but a new front bumper helps channel air into the air intakes, which are narrower and more rounded than those of the 720S. The larger front splitter helps improve aerodynamics and works together with the rear wing to increase downforce. The 750S also gets a new rear bumper, bigger sill intakes, a new decklid, a new mesh rear grille and a new center-exit exhaust that mimics the one found on the limited production P1 hypercar.

Inside, the new McLaren features upholstery with either full Nappa leather or Nappa leather with simulated suede. Darkened metal accents and new customizable ambient lighting add splashes of contrast to the cabin. The digital instrument cluster is positioned on a binnacle that moves with the steering wheel, while the new McLaren Control Launcher allows owners to save various vehicle settings for the aero, handling, powertrain and transmission that can be recalled via the press of a button. The infotainment system also gets new software and now comes with standard Apple CarPlay.

More Power

Performance for the 2024 McLaren 750S comes from a 730-horsepower, twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine — upping output from the 720S by 20 hp — that’s paired with a seven-speed sequential gearbox and standard rear-wheel drive. McLaren claims the combination is enough to get the 750S to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 206 mph — quicker than the 720S’ 2.8-second 0-60 but less than its 212 mph top speed.

The 750S also comes with the latest Proactive Chassis Control system, which has softer springs in the front and firmer springs out back. The vehicle-lift system is also improved, with the front of the car being able to be raised in four seconds, six seconds quicker than in the 720S.

Pricing and Release Date

The 2024 McLaren 750S is available to order now. Full pricing (including the $5,500 destination charge) is $329,500 for the coupe and $350,500 for the Spider.
