Vehicles Affected: Approximately 420 model-year 2017-18 Lotus Evora 400 sports cars

The Problem: The toe board in the passenger footwell lacks stiffness, allowing the knee of an unbelted occupant to contact the rigid structure of the car in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

The Fix: Dealers will replace the toe board with a new design with appropriate stiffness for free.

What Owners Should Do: Lotus has not yet provided an owner-notification schedule. Owners can call the automaker at 800-245-6887, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
