Vehicles Affected: Approximately 2,100 model-year 2017 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta sports cars; model-year 2018-19 488 GTB sports cars, 488 Spider convertibles, GTC4Lusso coupes and 812 Superfast sports cars; and model-year 2019 488 Pista sports cars
The Problem: The fuel vapor separator may crack and allow fuel to leak, which in the presence of an ignition source may increase the risk of fire.
The Fix: Dealers will replace the fuel vapor separator for free.
What Owners Should Do: Ferrari will begin notifying owners April 14. Owners can call the automaker at 201-816-2668, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
