The Problem: The airbag electronic control unit may malfunction, possibly causing the nondeployment or improper deployment of the airbags or seat belt pretensioners, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will replace the airbag ECU for free.
What Owners Should Do: Ferrari will begin notifying owners Aug. 7. Owners can call the automaker at201-816-2668, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
