Vehicles Affected: Approximately 30 model-year 2019 Ram 1500 pickup trucks
The Problem: The spare tire provided may differ in size and required inflation pressure from the information on the tire placard label. This could lead to referencing the tire placard label and incorrectly inflating the spare tire, increasing the risk of a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will replace the incorrect-size spare tire with the correct one.
What Owners Should Do: Ram manufacturer Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will begin notifying owners June 27. Owners can call FCA at 800-853-1403, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
